Equipment

Mixing Bowl
Small Beaker
Spoon
Digital Scales that go down to 1g
Sieve
Gloves
1-5 Bath Bomb Moulds

Method

  1. Weigh out all your ingredients.
  2. Melt the coconut oil and add the polysorbate 80 and fragrance oil to it, stir well.
  3. In a large bowl sieve Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid and Tapioca Starch. Mix in the Epsom salts, mica and bio glitter.
  4. Pour the coconut/polysorbate/fragrance mix into the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly with gloves on your hands.
  5. Spritz with witch hazel to dampen the mix until it clumps together in your hand (similar to damp sand that holds its shape when squeezed into hand).
  6. Sprinkle glitter into the mould/s.
  7. Scoop up the mix with the mould overfilling it (don’t pack it in with your hands) do this with both sides of the mould then press two halves together firmly.
  8. Tap each side of the mould with a spoon and you should be able to unmould it straight away. If you are having trouble another way is to pop it into the freezer for 20mins and warm with your hands.
  9. Leave to dry for a couple of hours or overnight and place into an airtight container.

Suggested Alternatives:

You can use our Round, 6 Cavity Soap Mould instead of bath bomb moulds, these are much easier to use and you just press firmly into the mould.

You can choose your own fragrance and mica colour to customize.
