Like other balsams, Gurjun is primarily used as a fixative in perfumery its heavy sweet scent helping to slow the dissipation of lighter and more volatile notes. In Ayurveda, a certain type of Gurnjun resin is a prized medicine used for rheumatic conditions as well as respiratory complaints.
