Native to the Himalayan Mountains of Tibet and Mongolia, the goji berry is actually considered to be both a fruit and a herb. They have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years and are claimed to be a natural remedy for diabetes, hypertension and even malaria. 

Goji berries not only have the highest protein concentration of any fruit, they are are one of the only fruits to contain ALL the essential amino acids.
They are also bursting with fibre, vitamin C and more carotenoids than any other food. With 15 times the amount of iron found in spinach and 21 trace minerals, the goji berry is quite the nutritional powerhouse. They harbour natural anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal compounds, and their powerful antioxidant properties and polysaccharides help to boost the immune system.
