After 24 hours, the soap had discolored to a slight beige color and the scent was strong, with a more dominant spice note than the fragrance does out of the bottle. We observed that the soap had almost reached a full gel. After 30 days, the soap discolored to a tan shade and the scent remained strong and was more balanced overall. We used the sticker blender to bring the batter to a medium trace, which happened very quickly, however we still saw some oil separation. A few additional pulses of the stick blender and some hand stirring allowed the batter to hold together without separating. The batter was at a thick trace and started to become grainy but gentle, continuous hand stirring helped keep it smooth. Initially, the batter began to pour smoothly into the mold but quickly thickened and turned into big batter globs. Even tamping the mold on the table was not enough to smooth the top. After 24 hours, we observed the soap had almost reached a full gel and had discolored to a light to medium tan shade. The scent was very strong and true. After 30 days, the scent remained strong and the soap discolored to a light brown shade. We chose to start the mixing process at temperatures below 100ºF based on past experience with this fragrance. After 24 hours, the soap was a bit soft but still unmolded easily. The bars discolored to a gold shade and were very strong and sweet smelling. We did observe that the soap reached a partial gel through the center. After 30 days the soap discolored to a tan shade and the scent was more balanced and very strong. Overall the batter stayed workable, just plan to work quickly and create a simple design. We found it difficult to bring the water and oils to an emulsion, each time we stopped the stick blender we could see the oils and water separate. Eventually they came together and held which brought the batter to a medium trace. The batter stayed workable enough to pour smoothly into the mold without any additional thickening. After 24 hours, we observed the soap had only reached a partial gel and there was a slight yellow discoloration. The scent was strong and had a crisp freshness. After 30 days, a very light yellow discoloration was observed, which could be easily covered by titanium dioxide or other colorants. The scent had mellowed but remained strong and crisp. The batter seemed easy to work with and stayed fluid. When we started to pour the batter into the mold, it was at a nice light trace but then started to thicken as we poured. After 24 hours the soap was very soft and would not come out of the silicone mold. We allowed it to sit for an extra three days. The scent was strong, and we noticed a deep purple discoloration forming on the edges of the bars. After the cure, the scent remained strong. The purple discoloration remained but had started to fade. In the few seconds it took to wipe off the blades and set the stick blender safely out of the way, the soap became stiff. We dumped the soap into the mold and pressed down as much as we could. By the time we grabbed a piece of plastic wrap to cover the mold, the soap was already starting to gel. After 24 hours we observed that the soap reached a full gel and there was no discoloration. We could see the edges did not become uniform with the entire bar and looked like small pebbles, however, they did not break or fall off. After 30 days, the soap had discolored to a light tan shade and the scent was a little softer. This fragrance may perform better in a hot process soap application or other personal care products. At this point, the oils had turned brown from the fragrance. We were able to dump the mixture into a crockpot and hot process the soap. After 24 hours the fragrance was still incredibly strong and the soap had discolored to a dark brown. After 30 days, the fragrance is very strong and has almost a bourbon vanilla character. The bars discolored to a deep chocolate brown color. We checked almost every day to see if it was ready, and after six days it was firm enough to come out of the mold without tearing but was still quite sticky to the touch. We observed there was a small area that gelled in the center, and there was no discoloration. The scent was strong. After 30 days, there was no discoloration, and the scent remained strong.
