Also known as almond meal, almond flour is made from organically grown sweet whole almonds and ground in an allergen-controlled facility. It’s a nutritious alternative to regular flour in many low-carb and gluten-free baking recipes. 

Why use it?

Ideal in “quick-bread” type recipes, like muffins, nut breads, and pancakes, almond meal adds moisture and a rich nutty taste to baked goods. The soft, delicate crumb it provides in baked goods makes it fantastic for things like cookies, cakes, and even muffins. How To Use Almond Flour

  • It is recommended that you use slightly more raising agent than the recipe suggests, allowing for the heavier weight of the almond flour. 
  • Line your pans with baking paper to help prevent sticking. 
  • After baking, recipes made with almond flour may need to be left a few minutes and loosened carefully with a knife before turning out because the texture is generally more fragile than regular recipes made with flour.
