The almond is actually the seed from the fruit of the almond tree, a medium-size tree that bears fragrant pink and white flowers.

Almonds are one of our most popular superfoods. As well as being a good source of protein and dietary fibre, almonds deliver a significant dose of omega-9 and a combination of nutrients.
Almonds are delicious to snack on. They can be added to breakfast cereals and salads, used in baking or cooked with your favourite dish. They're also versatile: use them whole, chopped, ground or shaved.

The producer of these almonds is currently undergoing transition to being certified organic. This process takes several years and so in the interim, whilst the principles and practices of organic farming are being observed the end product cannot be officially certified as organic.
