We did not experience any acceleration or separation. We brought the batter to a light to medium trace and it poured very smoothly into the mold. After 24 hours the soap was still very soft and ideally, we would have allowed another day or two before unmolding. There was no sign of discoloration or of the soap going through the gel phase. The fragrance was strong and the tea notes really popped. After 30 days there was no discoloration but all 4 edges of the soap had a thick layer of soda ash. The scent remained strong and true. This would be an excellent choice for an intricate swirl design that requires an emulsion or light trace.
I love lavender but not liking this smell.
This has improved since curing. It's a lovely earthy/herbal floral. Not lavender-y which is fine by me because I'm not a fan of lavender. A nice strong scent that has wide appeal.
An unusual fragrance that is nonetheless very pleasant. It's more of a tea/tonic scent than a lavender. I used it with some Litsea EO to scent a calendula soap, and I think the fragrance complements the calendula very well. The batter was very slow moving and perfect for doing swirls with, if that is your desire.
Whilst I love the smell of Lavender, sadly I was not impressed with this fragrance. I really wanted to love it but it has quite a sharp smell to it. It doesn’t smell as bad in soap but I don’t think I will be purchasing it again.
