INCI: Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil and Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) fruit/leaf/stem extract.

Lycopene is a naturally occurring compound that gives many fruits and vegetables their distinctive red color.
It is one of a group of pigments called carotenoids. Lycopene is found in watermelons, pink grapefruit, apricots, and pink guavas. However it is found in particularly high amounts in tomatoes and tomato products.
Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that may help protect cells from damage and diets rich in this nutrient are thought to be beneficial in reducing common conditions such as cardiovascular disease.

Lycopene also offers skin benefits because of its antioxidant properties. When skin is exposed to sunlight, it causes free radicals to form. Free radicals damage skin cells and cells that produce collagen and elastin. They also activate enzymes that break down collagen. This is one mechanism by which sun exposure causes premature aging and skin cancer. Lycopene, by acting as an antioxidant and a powerful free radical quencher, may reduce this type of damage. It's well-suited to protect skin cells since it works best in a lipid-rich environment like the skin.
