DESCRIPTION

Mimosa absolute is prepared using solvent extraction and presents as an amber to golden coloured solid, wax-like substance.
However, by melting it in very hot water it will turn semi liquid for much easier use. Once in this state it must be used very quickly or added to a suitable solvent base or it will quickly solidify again.
Mimosa's chief use is in high end perfumery. It is used to create complex fragrances such as lilac bases, muguet, colognes, ambers etc
It is considered of special value in rounding off rough notes created by synthetic aroma chemicals often used in contemporary perfume compositions. It gives a lift to natural materials in the same formulations.
