DESCRIPTION
Widely known for its therapeutic benefits, Castor oil is a popular ingredient in many cosmetics, soaps, textiles, medicines, and massage oils.
Castor oil's main claim to fame is its rich fatty acid content. These fatty acids - especially Omega 5 - help to restore the skin's natural moisture balance, preventing skin dryness and effectively moisturising the skin.
Note: Castor oil may have a drying effect on some skin types, so experimentation is advised.
Castor oil is also known to be rich in ricinoleic acid, which may help to combat athlete’s foot, ringworm, warts and other skin conditions.
As this is a cold pressed oil, no solvents such as hexane were used in the extraction process.
