Hydrolised Soy Protein (not to be confused with nutritional Soy Protein) is obtained from the soybean plant, glycine soja. Polypeptides are chains of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins.
Hydrolyzed proteins are proteins that have been broken down into smaller chains of amino acids by reaction with water.
Hydrolised Soy Protein is ideal for hair and skin care products to counter potential irritancy from other ingredients - in particular surfactants. In hair it has great conditioning properties and boosts moisturing, repair and integrity of hair follicles.
