Essiac Tea is a blend of four main herbs that grow in the wilderness of Ontario, Canada. The original formula is believed to have its roots from the native Canadian Ojibway Indians.
The name is derived from its creator, Rene Caisse (Essiac is"caisse" spelt backwards). Rene Caisse was a Canadian nurse who treated her patients with a drink prepared from the herbs. It is believed the Essiac tea helps to boost the immune system.
