Pine oil is known to have extremely effective healing qualities, and can be used to treat cuts and sores by cleaning and invigorating areas of the skin. It is also used for internal health and well-being, and is employed to combat a wide variety of illnesses and ailments; bronchitis, asthma, catarrh, coughs, laryngitis, colds and flu, to name only a few.
Application of pine oil to the skin provides warming qualities, and may therefore be helpful with treating pain caused by rheumatism and arthritis, as well as gout, muscular and joint pain, whilst stimulating circulation. As a general kidney cleanser, it could be effective with cystitis, prostate problems and urinary infections.
In Aromatherapy Pine oil is used for mental health, well-being, self worth, relieving fatigue, and also helping with nervous exhaustion and neuralgia.
