Description
Collagen is a protein found throughout the body but is perhaps best known as being a component in the connective tissue that supports the skin. As we age, collagen degrades which can cause loss of skin elasticity contributing to visual signs of ageing such as crows feet, wrinkles and sagging skin.
Studies have shown that marine collagen can improve skin elasticity, reduce fine lines and firm the skin.
To incorporate into your formulation, slurry/dissolve into distilled water - the collagen powder should readily dissolve and then be added to the cool down stage (<40⁰C).
Please note: this product is derived from fish scales and naturally has a slight, musky-fishy odour. Use of a fragrance/essential oil may be required depending upon the amount used in the finished product.
