Yarrow has long been used as a therapeutic plant, and the essential oil has many applications to aid healing and restore balance. It has similar properties to German Chamomile oil, and is cooling and calming to the body and mind.

Yarrow oil helps calm and soothe aggravated skin and aids healing. It can be very useful for eczema, acne, rashes and skin reactions, psoriasis, minor wounds and burns, and is suitable for sensitive skin and both dry or oily skin. It can also be used as a scalp tonic.

Yarrow oil is wonderful added to a massage oil or compress to help ease digestive and menstrual spasms and aid menstrual balance and regularity. Yarrow is also recommended for neuralgia, sciatica, headaches, muscle and joint discomfort and to tone varicose veins.

Yarrow oil is calming and restful to the nerves. It is useful during times of change to help provide protection and maintain balance, and is often recommended during menopause to ease the transition. Yarrow is said to help release repressed anger and strengthen intuition.
