DESCRIPTION

The "beauty secret" of the geishas of Japan, camellia has been recognised for centuries in Eastern Asia for its highly regenerative and restorative effects on the skin. Camellia oil is used in many skincare formulas and products, as well as shampoos, lotions, conditioners, scalp treatments, and after-sun care products. The oil is also added to products used to treat dry and damaged skin and hair, as well as being popular with aromatherapists and massage therapists.

Camellia oil is known for its excellent moisture-retaining ability, which makes it an effective moisturising and replenishing oil. it is suitable for sensitive and allergy-prone skin, absorbs quickly and easily, and leaves the skin looking and feeling smooth and supple. Camellia also possesses antioxidant, disinfectant, and germicidal properties.

Camellia is extremely rich in monosaturated fatty acids, containing more than 80% oleic acid. It is also rich in vitamins A, B and E, various minerals, and squalene, which is an important component of the skin's natural emollient system. Deficient levels of squalene can result in dry, sagging, and wrinkly skin.

Great alternative to rosehip

I'd been using rosehip oil and was looking for a cheaper alternative when I came across this.

After about a year of use I can say that it never breaks me out and my skin is looking great.

The fragrance is very subtle and pleasant, and it feels similar to rosehip. Will be sticking with it :)

Lustrious hair.

I mainly brought this for my hair and scalp, then skin. I have extremely long thick hair and often get itchy flakey scalp. I put this in my scalp via a syringe (without needle) you get from the pharmacy so I can target the scalp, about 10 ml whole scalp and left over night. I did have to wash my hair twice with shampoo to get it out but my scalp so far after 2 weeks is feeling good. A little goes a super long way so when applying to your ends be warned.

I put it on my skin everywhere as like Hemp oil it cant clog pores so no nasty breakouts. It has a slightly thicker consistency then Hemp oil but finding the this oil is way better on my hair to keep it soft, shiny and healthy.
