Description

Carnauba Wax is a high melt point, hard, natural plant wax derived from the leaves of the Carnauba Palm (Copernicia Cerifera), which is native to Brazil.

It is extremely hard and nearly insoluble in both water and ethanol, added to this it is non-toxic and hypoallergenic. It is widely used to increase temperature stability, hardness, gloss and slip. As it is such a versatile product, it can be found in everything from candy floss to dental floss.

Part of an experiment

I was looking for a possible supplier if my experiment worked, I am currently utilising a number of 100 year old recipes to create a wood polish using natural products. The problem I have found is most polishes have additional chemicals and leave smears, these flakes melted well and the first batch came out ok.

Good service, good packaging and good flakes.

Nice!

Used this to harden my lotion bars as a vegan alternative to beeswax. It works - man this stuff is hard as nails!
