This oil is less liquid than the first brand I bought, which is a slight disadvantage. On the other hand it is a bigger bottle at a much better price.
I adopted a mature cat who had been neglected, rescued by a wonderful woman who got vet attention for her baldness and scabs caused by a shocking flea infestation. Totz was on the mend when I adopted her, fur growing back well but sensitivity itch lingered in her mind. She overgroomed these itchy spots till they were almost raw, new fur destroyed, skin was dry and uncomfortable looking. Emu oil was the remedy in every way. Non toxic - it had to be safe. She licked it. It was absorbed quickly into her skin so it relieved the itch allowing the fur to grow back, It was probably good for her internally too! I have some dry skin damage from too many years of sun, again the oil soaked in quickly not leaving greasiness.
The second cat Perpz has a skin cancer that affects one front foot worst. There is no cure, she will die of the cancer. In the meantime emu oil keeps the foot comfortable plus encourages her to clean it herself so skin breakdowns are kept clean given the best chance to heal, and opportunistic infections are kept under control. Since I started using it, having to warm the oil to make it liquid enough to drip from a little syringe without touching the tender pads, she hardly limps at all and when it comes to feeding time she is very nimble on her dear old feet! As long as she is comfortable, getting value out of her…
