Description

Hydroxyethylcellulose (HEC)  is a non-ionic, water-soluble thickener derived from wood cellulose. It can be used to thicken the water phase of an emulsion or to create ultra clear gels. It will effectively thicken the aqueous phase of shampoos, body washes. shower gels and liquid soaps.

To use, add to water then either apply high shear or alkalise the pH to >7 and stir until fully hydrated. You can adjust the pH of your final product once it has thickened.

This product is intended for external use only

Best thickener.

My fav thickener for gel cleansers and dishwashing liquid. Dissolves easily, no clumps, crystal clear. But it does take a little time to thicken so wait a bit before being tempted to add more!

Easy to work with, and crystal clear.

Love that this makes crystal clear gels. Also easy to hydrate.
