Description

Nettle (known as stinging nettle) has been used traditionally for thousands of years as food and medicine. Classed as a nutritive plant for its high levels of vitamins and minerals.

Known for its anti-inflammatory properties for musculoskeletal complaints, it can also help with seasonal allergies and has mild diuretic properties.

It can be used to make a nourishing hair rinse to improve the health of the scalp and hair, and an infusion can be helpful for skin irritations, including sunburn.

Nettle infusion for breastfeeding drink

I mix 1 cup of nettle leaf with 1 litre of boiling water and let sit for 4-8 hours then mix with water to keep me hydrated all day & night whilst breastfeeding. Helps with lactation too!
