|Rose Otto, Bulgarian Essential Oil
100% PURE, THERAPEUTIC GRADE ESSENTIAL OIL
|COMMON NAME||Rose otto, Rose essential oil|
|BOTANICAL NAME||Rosa damascena|
|PLANT PARTS USED||Flowers|
|COUNTRY OF ORIGIN||Bulgaria|
|Rose oil is one of the most beloved essential oils. It’s also one of the most expensive as the petals need to be carefully handpicked and 30 roses produce only 1 drop of essential oil – that’s around 600 roses to make a single ml!
Rose Otto is steam distilled and has a lower yield thus is more expensive than Rose Absolute which uses solvent extraction to yield a higher amount of oil.
A word of caution: Rose oil is in high demand for perfumery and skincare. Unfortunately, there is huge temptation for less scrupulous operators to adulterate oils. A good indication is the price - if it sounds too good to be true, it more than likely is.
