Also known as billygoat plum, murunga and gubinge, Kakadu plum oil is sourced from the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It is commonly used as a source of food or 'bush tucker' by Australian Aboriginal people. The fruit is round and greenish, and usually eaten raw.
Kakadu plum is known for having the highest natural levels of vitamin C of any fruit in the world, with 3000mg per 100g of fruit. That's over 50 times the concentration found in oranges! Vitamin C helps stimulate the production of collagen, the building blocks of new skin cells. This helps to make skin smoother and more supple, reducing pigmentation and sunspots.
