Cassia oil smells very similar Cinnamon and has some similar properties. It is often used as a more affordable alternative to Cinnamon.

Nature/Essence – Warm & Stimulating

Cassia is a skin sensitiser and irritant and is not recommended for the skin. A tiny amount (no more than 0.05%) used in a lip balm may have a plumping effect but extreme caution should be taken!

The main area of use for Cassia is the digestive system. It has traditionally been used to ease flatulence, colic, loose bowels and nausea.

Cassia’s warm spicy aroma has a stimulating effect, helpful to revive during times of fatigue or low mood.

The warm aroma of Cassia is a popular addition to home potpourri blends.

My most popular soap

My most popular soap had a blend and small amount of this oil in it. It’s almost identical to cinnamon, however it doesn’t have the sharp notes like cinnamon. This has more depth and is distinguishably more earthy and it is one of those scents that is easily identifiable for those who are familiar with it. I highly recommend this. I like it with litsea cubeba.

The Cassia essential oil was not pure. It smelt like it had been mixed with a vegetable oil. I could smell a nutty smell. I have had Cassia oil previously (not from your company) and it was spicy and woodsy. I had to add cinnamon oil to it to cover the after smell of vegetable oil.
