Jojoba beads are white, odourless, hard free flowing microspheres, derived from of jojoba oil with a melting point of 70ºC. Jojoba beads are ideal for shower gels, soaps, body polishes, facial or foot scrubs and many other skin cleansing products since they provide superior oxidative stability, have emollient properties and gently exfoliate without irritating the skin. Because of their high melting point, Jojoba beads are particularly useful in elevated temperature stability applications.
The 28/60 grade is coarser than the 60/100 and is suited to body scrub products as it may be too coarse for facial scrubs.
They may be used in formulations from 1% to 15%, depending on the desired visual effect and aggressiveness of exfoliation.
