Marjoram oil is wonderful as a compress or in a massage or bath oil to help warm and ease muscle spasms, strains and joint aches, chilblains, menstrual spasms and headaches. It helps ease digestive bloating, colic, flatulence and constipation and stimulates healthy digestive function. It is also used to aid healthy blood pressure, and for respiratory and immune support.
Marjoram oil has a sedating effect, recommended for hyperactive or extreme emotional states, and sleep problems. It is suggested during grief to calm the emotions and comfort the heart – avoid overuse as it is said too much can deaden the emotions. It has also been suggested to help quell an overactive sex drive.
