Makes a refreshingly zingy summer cooler, simply dilute to taste with filtered or sparkling water over ice!

Ingredients

2 Cups

Organic, Fair Trade Cane Sugar

4 Cups

Water

2 Cups

Hibiscus Flowers Dried

2 tsp

Citric Acid 

2 tsp

Tartaric Acid

 

Hibiscus Margarita

60ml

Tequila

60ml

Hibiscus Syrup

30ml 

Cointreau

Equipment

Saucepan
Sieve
Sterilised Bottles or Jars

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 15minutes.
  3. Strain and pour into sterilised bottles or jars.
  4. Store in the fridge, consume within 2 weeks.

For Hibiscus Margarita:

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice, then pour into a salt-rimmed glass over ice. Easy as that. Ole!
