Equipment

Glass pyrex or stainless stell jug/bowl
Saucepan that will fit bowl on top
Spatula or spoon
Digital Scales that go down to 1g
Silicon mould (6 cavity or muffin)

Method

  1. Weigh out the Cocoa Butter, Beeswax, Shea Butter and Macadamia oil into a pyrex jug or stainless bowl and place into/over the saucepan (double boiler method) to melt until liquid, add in mica and stir well.
  2. Weigh the fragrance/essential oil and vitamin e into the small beaker and set aside.
  3. When the ingredients have melted take off the heat and let cool to approx. 45 degrees.
  4. Add the fragrance/essential oil/vitamin e and stir well.
  5. Pour into your chosen mould and let sit a couple of hours to set. Pop it out of the mould – we like to us our Aluminum screw tins to store it.
  6. To use – use long strokes of the body part that you are massaging, once you have enough slip you can start massaging. We like to use the lid of the tin to place it on in between massaging and application.

Double Boiler

Half fill a saucepan with water, bring to the boil and reduce to a gentle simmer.

Place the ingredients into a pyrex jug or stainless-steel jug small enough to fit inside the saucepan and best if the handle goes over the outside of the pot. If using a bowl carefully place the bowl on top of the saucepan.
