Peppermint slice soap Made with our new Xmas fragrance Peppermint & Mocha. It smells like Christmas. Pamper yourself with this peppermint recipe.

Ingredients

Makes 6 x squares

150gm

 

White Soap Base

210gm

 

Clear Soap Base

90gm

 

Trade Aid Raw Sugar

2.4gm

 

Peppermint Mocha Fragrance Oil

1.5 tsp

 

Brown Iron Oxide

1 tsp

 

Mica - Apple Green

1 tsp

 

Mica - Coffee

1.5 tsp

 

Bio Glitter - Spring Green

 

 

6 Cavity Square Soap Mould

Get all parts ready below before starting to melt the soap bases.

Equipment

Pyrex/microwave safe jug x 3
Beakers
Spoons/mixing sticks
Digital Scales 
Soap Mould
Isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle

Method

Part 1
150gm SFIC Low Sweat White Soap base, 90gm Trade Aid Sugar, 1.5gm Peppermint Mocha Fragrance, 3/4tsp Brown Iron Oxide, 1tsp Mica - Coffee.
Weigh out the soap and put into jug, weigh out sugar into a cup/beaker and then fragrance, mica and iron oxide into a beaker and stir.

Part 2
120gms of SFIC Low Sweat Clear Soap base, 1tsp Mica - Apple Green, 1/2tsp Bio Glitter - Spring Green.
Weigh out the soap and put it into the jug, get mica and glitter ready.

Part 3
90gm SFIC Low Sweat Clear Soap base, 1/3tsp Brown Iron Oxide, 0.9gm Peppermint Mocha Fragrance.
Weight out the soap and put into jug, weigh out fragrance and oxide into a beaker and stir.

  1. Melt Part 1 in the microwave in 30secs bursts until melted be careful not to over heat, add the other ingredients from Part 1 (colour, fragrance and sugar) stir well and pour approx, 1cm thick across all 6 cavities.
  2. Melt Part 2 in the microwave in 30 secs bursts until melted be careful not to over heat, add other ingredients (colour and glitter). Let it cool slightly and pour very carefully over the bottom layer approx. 1cm thick across all 6 cavities.
  3. Now for the icing! Melt Part 3 in the microwave in 30 secs bursts until melted be careful not to over heat, add other ingredients (colour and fragrance) stir well. Let it cool slightly and pour very carefully over the bottom layer approx. 1cm thick across all 6 cavities. Spray with Isopropyl Alcohol.
  4. Sprinkle the top with Spring Green Bio Glitter.
  5. Wait a least a few hours until unmoulding then wrap.
