Ingredients

Makes approx. 6 soaps

450gm

SFIC Low Sweat White

13.5gm

Choice of fragrance (Ocean Rose)

¼ tsp

Iridescent Copper Mica

Handful

Pink Rose Buds

Isopropyl Alcohol

Equipment

Purex Jug
Stirrer
Sift/Strainer
Digital Scales
6 Cavity Square Mould
Spray Bottle for Isopropyl Alcohol

Method

  1. Cut up soap block into small cubes and melt in a pyrex jug in the microwave (for 30 seconds then stir and continue in 10sec bursts until melted) or in a double boiler until liquid.
  2. Measure out fragrance. Keep gently stirring the soap base so as to avoid a skin forming on top.
  3. Add the fragrance mixture and mix well.
  4. Pour soap into mould and lightly spray the top with IPA to disperse air bubbles.
  5. Place 3 or 4 rose buds over the top of the soap to your liking, only pushing down lightly to fix (see note below)
  6. Using a sift/strainer sprinkle the mica gently over the top.
  7. Leave to set for 1 day and gently unmould.

Note: Dried flowers inside the soap can go brown after a couple of weeks, try to insert the rose buds (or dried flowers of choice) just on the top of the soap
