Ingredients

Sodium Bicarbonate

150gm 

 

Citric Acid

10gm 

 

Sweet Almond Oil

10gm

 

Polysorbate 20

1.5gm

 

Lavender NZ Essential Oil

 0.5gm

 

Bergamot FCF Free Essential Oil

1/4tsp

 

Flash Bronze Mica

1/4tsp

 

Peach Pink Mica

 

 

Sprayer of Isopropyl Alcohol

Equipment

Mixing Bowl
2 x Small Beakers
Spoon
Silicone Spatula
Pipette
Digital Scales 
9 x Small Bath Bomb Moulds or Small Silicone Muffin Tray

Method

    1. Wearing gloves weigh the Sodium Bicarbonate and Citric Acid into a bowl. Mix well.
    2. In a beaker mix together almond oil, essential oil and polysorbate 20.
    3. Stir into the sodium bicarbonate and citric acid.
    4. Mix all the together until well combined and there are no lumps.
    5. Pack tightly into bath bomb moulds or silicone muffin tray and leave in a dry draft free warm area for approx. 24 hours or until they have hardened.
    6. Measure out each mica into its own small beaker. Spray with the isopropyl alcohol until it forms a paint consistency.
    7. Using a pipette drop and flick the mica paint mixture over the bath bombs.
    8. Place in an airtight container.

    Note: Bath bombs can be temperamental we suggest using a silicone small muffin tin if making for the first time, and/or with kids.
