INCI: Sodium Bicarbonate

Sodium Bicarbonate or 'Baking Soda' as it is commonly known has literally hundreds of uses, most of which have very little to do with baking!  In Bath Bombs, Baking Soda is not only partially responsible for the fizzing effect but also when added to bath water it acts to soften the skin. It also makes a great addition to body, face and and scrubs as it gently softens, smooths and exfoliate the skin.
It can also be added to Shampoos and Conditioners where it enhances the cleansing effect of the shampoo - particularly effective for greasy build up from styling products and conditioners.

Is your baking soda aluminium free?
We get asked this a lot and the answer is yes, because actually all sodium bicarbonate or baking soda is aluminium free.
The confusion arises because some baking powder contains aluminium. Although baking powder does contain sodium bicarbonate, the aluminium component comes from added aluminium salts - not the sodium bicarbonate.

DIY facial mask

I make carbonated DIY facial masks mixing sodium bicarbonate, citric acid and guar gum.

I also add two to three drops of lavender oil for fragrance.

I’ve found fine lines around my eyes have become less obvious and my skin has tightened up even though I spend about two hours under the sun at breakfast every morning.

These products are essential for me and happy that the prices are very reasonable.
